Orders & Purchases

Depending on the delivery option you selected at checkout, we’ll email you a tracking link after your order has been shipped.

Follow this link to check the status of your order. We can also send you notifications about any important updates regarding your order – just make sure you’ve opted into notifications.

Changed your mind, or gave the wrong address at checkout? No worries, we’ve all done it. As long as your order hasn’t processed or shipped, you can make changes to it.

You’ll first want to pull up your order. If you placed your order while logged in to your account, login and choose Your Account from the drop-down menu under your username. On your Account page, select Orders, and find the order you’d like to update from your Order History. And contact our customer service team at contact us.

Cancelling your order is the last thing we want to do but some situations come up where cancellation is the best option to save you time and money. If your order is cancelled, you won’t be charged. 

The most common reasons an order might be cancelled are:

We will send you an email if any part of your order is cancelled or if we need more information to process your order.

To receive your return label, please contact our support team. Kindly include details of the product you wish to return, and our team will promptly assist you and provide the return label if wrong package was sent. Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to a Buda Basket error.

We deliver to Budapest and surrounding areas within Hungary, as well as many locations across the EU. Enter your address at checkout to see if we deliver to you. Delivery zones and availability may vary by EU country.

Account

Creating an account allows you to save delivery information, track orders, and manage preferences. Visit “My Account” and follow the registration steps.

To reset your password, please follow these steps:

  • Click on the “Account” option located on the right corner of the website.
  • Select the “Forgot Password?” option.
  • Enter the email address associated with your account.
  • Check your email for instructions on how to reset your password.
  • Follow the provided link to create a new password.

To change your password if you’re already logged in: Click on the “Account” option located in the top right corner of the website. Select Settings and privacy, then click Settings. Click Security and login. Click Edit next to Change password. Enter your current password and new password. Click Save Changes.

Returns & Refunds

After submitting your return, please allow at least 7 working days for processing to our time to review the return product(s) before checking your refund status. 

If you would like to initiate a return for the item(s), Please follow the instructions below:

  • Log in to your account on our website.
  • Go to your order history and select the order containing the item(s) you wish to return.
  • Contact our customer support team through email or live chat to submit the return request.
    Provide the reason and further details for the return.
  • Once your return request is submitted, our customer support team will review it and provide further instructions. In case of any inconvenience, please contact our customer service team.

We offer returns and exchanges on most items within 14 days of receipt. See our Return Policy for details on eligibility and procedures, which may vary depending on your location within Hungary or the EU.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer exchanges for items purchased from our website. If you need a different item, please initiate a return for the unwanted item(s) and place a new order.

Alternatively, if your order has not yet been processed, you may also place a new order with the updated address details. Our team will assist you with any adjustments you may need.

If your order hasn’t arrived yet, please check the estimated delivery time provided in your order confirmation email. Sometimes, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or carrier issues. If the estimated delivery time has passed and you still haven’t received your order, please contact our customer service team with your order details, and we will investigate the issue promptly to ensure your order reaches you as soon as possible.

  • Budapest: Expect your order within 1-2 business days.
  • Hungary (excluding Budapest): Delivery typically takes 2-5 business days.
  • EU: Delivery time for the EU countries depends on the destination country within the EU. Typically, standard delivery time range from 3 to 7 business days.

Fees & billing

Yes, we offer cash on delivery (COD) as a payment option for selected locations. With COD, you can pay for your order in cash or through bank card at the time of delivery. Please note that COD may not be available for all orders or locations, and additional fees may apply. To check if COD is available for your order, please select the COD option during checkout or contact our customer service team for assistance.
